Deep Tissue Massage
 |
Used to treat chronic problems of muscular
tension, deep tissue massage uses deeper pressure and is applied with long
slow strokes, friction, or direct pressure with the hands, fingers, and
elbows. This type of massage will affect the deeper muscles in the body.

Neuromuscular Massage
 |
This form of massage uses a clinical approach
in treating soft tissue injuries. A treatment may consist of treating one or
several muscles involved in the problem area, identifying trigger points in
muscles which may refer pain to other areas, and releasing muscular tension
which may be causing pressure on nerves in the body. The pressure is specific
and applied throughout the muscle and also to its tendons. Many Physicians
prescribe the therapy for problems such at whiplash, rotator cuff injuries,
TMJ dysfunction, or muscle spasms. Neuromuscular therapy is effective in most
soft tissue injuries whether they are chronic or acute.

Myofascial Release Therapy
 |
This type of massage focuses on the facial system of the body. This includes
membranes, muscle fibers, tendons, and ligaments of the body. Fascia can
become restricted and cause decrease in flexibility, injury, and pain in the
body. The therapist attempts to release the fascia by applying pressure and
movement in areas of the body. The client will experience increased
circulation, function, and flexibility as well as a decrease in pain after a
session.

Active Assisted Therapeutic Stretching

During this type of session the client is taken through a series of assisted
stretching techniques designed to release muscular tension and aid in
increased flexibility.

Chair massage is perfect for any
setting, such as special events, conventions, or corporate settings. The chair
is portable and the massage is given with the client fully clothed. Many
companies are incorporating it into their wellness programs or using it as

The craniosacral system consists of membranes

It extends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth, which make up the
cranium down to the sacrum. CST uses light and gentle pressure and is
performed with the client fully clothed. The massage is very relaxing and is
very effective in encouraging the body’s own natural healing mechanisms to
restore balance in the nervous system, body and mind. CST is effective in
problems dealing with chronic pain, eye difficulties, learning disabilities,
motor-coordination impairment, scoliosis, and other health challenges.

client fully clothed. Direct pressure is applied along acupressure points
mapping the meridians in the body. This technique is based on Eastern
philosophy and helps to release or restore energy along these invisible energy

a Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage.

 |
This bodywork involves channeling healing
energy through the hands of the therapist to the client. The energy is
channeled from the universal life-force energy and ultimately produces a
soothing and relaxing effect on the client. Reiki is an ancient method of
healing and was rediscovered in the archives of a Buddhist temple in Japan in
the late 1800s.
